In 1966, Mr Fernándo Domínguez San Martín and Don José Lucena Villalobos started one of the most important quarries of dolomite products.

Its situated in Coín, a privileged area in the heart of the Guadalhorce Valley, just a few kilómetres from the Port of Málaga. Since it was open 40 years ago, PRODOMASA has become the leader in the extraction and transformation of industrial minerals.

Promoter of the industrial development in this area, PRODOMASA has been and still is one of the companies which has deeply involved itself in the investigation of environmental improvement. Is has applied to its productive process the quality and environmental laws which have given it the certificate UNE.IN ISO 9001:2000 and UNE-EN ISO 14001-2004 (Spanish Environmental Laws).
